Tipster Calculator does not ask for your name, email, or location. We do not create a profile about you. When you use the calculator, nothing is tied back to you.
How the calculator works
Every calculation happens entirely in your browser. The bill amount you enter, the tip percentage you choose, and the result you see never leave your device. It is not sent to a server, not stored in a database, and not shared with anyone. When you close the tab, it is gone.

Cookies and local storage
Tipster Calculator uses your browser's local preferences only to remember your theme choice (light or dark mode). That preference is stored locally on your device and is never sent to us. We do not use advertising cookies, we do not run cross-site trackers, and we do not use third-party ad networks at this time.
Analytics and future updates
Right now, Tipster Calculator does not use analytics tools that identify you. If we add privacy-respecting analytics in the future to understand which features are helpful, or if we introduce optional advertising to keep the tool free, we will update this policy to clearly describe what is collected, why, and how you can opt out. The core promise will stay the same: your bill amounts and calculations stay private.
Children's privacy
Tipster Calculator is a general-purpose tipping tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Your choices
Because we do not collect personal data, there is nothing to request, update, or delete. You can clear your browser's local storage at any time to reset your theme preference. Using a private browsing window ensures nothing persists after you close it.
